Studies show that people prefer locally produced food. They know it will be fresh, and they like the idea of cutting out the ‘food miles’ involved in transporting food around the country.

The South Hams produces some of the finest food in the country – ranging from its superb meat and seafood, to a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables, bakery products, preserves and specialist foods such as chilli chocolate!

Our aim is to help local producers to establish a market for their produce, and to encourage the Kingsbridge and district community to locate and buy locally produced foodstuffs.
